HDMI ports multiplication
If your device does not have HDMI in ports, you can solve this issue by getting either of the following solutions.
HDMI switch
It allows connecting multiple HDMI sources into a single HDMI receiver.
The most common use case is when you have a projector mounted at the ceiling but still would love to connect multiple inputs. Instead of installing multiple cables from the floor to the ceiling, you can have just one cable to the projector and everything else sitting securely on the floor.
Since the common case involves a projector that did not use to have an eARC port, I highly recommend getting a switch with eARC pass
HDMI matrix
It allows connecting multiple HDMI sources into multiple HDMI receivers.
The mose common use case is when you have both a TV and a projector and would love to have a possibility to “dynamically” switch the inputs without constantly reconnecting your HDMI cables.
Again, since the common case involves a projector that did not use to have an eARC port, I highly recommend getting a matrix with eARC pass
It is just a bit more expensive than an HDMI switch that has only 1 output.
